THE TEXT:
"
Have been living on 10 shillings for the two of us,
for three days, but finally here we found a cashpoint!
Stayed in the modern house of a friend of Simons;
he house had motorised shutters on the windows
and woke us up at 0730 sharp. Took some motorised
transport (ie a train) for the first toime in ages and
saw Heidelberg with its lovely castle too.
Enjoyed Freiberg, on the edge of the Black Forest,
but didn't have enough mone to write!
Have covered 1750 mile now - on the home run! "
