THE
TEXT:
"
Le Touquet was the first cross-channel car +
passenger flights. The planes of Silver City were
now gone, but we had a 16-seater Trilander plane
to get back to England in. The pilot gave the
thumbs-up when he was allowed to take off,
and then we thundered along the runway,
all of us looking ahead through the front screen
as we took off. The whole flight took 17 minutes
and it was noisy, smelly, shaky
and absolutely brilliant! Beats 737s!
